Digital Energy Conference and Exhibition
Exploring the digital technologies transforming the energy sector
Energy Ireland is Ireland's largest energy forum. It consists of a number of events throughout the year, including the main Energy Ireland conference which takes place each June in Dublin.
Spark is a new addition to the Energy Ireland portfolio and is a major Digital Energy conference and exhibition for the Irish and wider European digital energy audience. Attending the event will be CIO’s in energy and utility companies and senior managers in technology companies specialising in the energy sector. Topics will include: smart metering; data analytics, cybersecurity, smart grid, connected home and all aspects of digital for energy companies and utilities.
Spark will target 200+ attendees from utilities in Ireland and UK and internationally.
Digital technologies have disrupted several industries and are starting to transform the way energy is being generated and distributed and how energy utilities are interacting with their customers. We have been talking about smart grid for the last decade but now increasingly fragmented distribution networks are having to deploy smart technologies through necessity. With increased amounts of distributed generation sources and the rise of the smart hope the transformation of the sector is starting to pick up pace.
IT was traditionally seen as the backroom function, but with the rise of digital technologies it is now seen as a core enabler for business competitiveness and helping to control an increasingly fragment energy system.
Spark will look at emerging digital technologies in the operation of energy companies and utilities and how these technologies are also being deployed at the customer interface.
